EcoVadis silver medal

HELU has been awarded the silver medal for the first time in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating for 2026. The company achieved a total of 67 points in 2025. This year’s score of 76 points is evidence of the improvements we have made to our sustainability management. Compared with other companies in our industry, HELU belongs to the top 6% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis who manufacture cables and electrical installation materials.

A focus on four themes

The evaluation looks at the areas environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The latter assessment is particularly impressive, with HELU ranking among the top 3% of companies in the industry evaluated by EcoVadis. This result underscores HELU’s commitment to integrating sustainability criteria into its procurement processes to a greater degree.

“This silver medal is recognition for the collaborative work of many colleagues. The nine-point improvement shows that we have taken steps forward. At the same time, we see the evaluation as motivation to continue improving our efforts and to more strongly anchor sustainability in our processes,” says Katharina Lehr, Sustainability and ESG Manager at HELU.

Making improvements with goals in sight

The EcoVadis rating provides HELU with external confirmation that we are on the right track and orientation for where we are headed next. This evaluation makes completed improvements easier to understand, highlights areas with potential for new improvements, and provides direction for future developments. This silver medal marks an important milestone on our journey.
